Fire Barrier System for Expansion Joints in Horizontal & Vertical Conditions - 2-Hour, UL 2079 Fire Resistant and E-1399 Movement Capable

A seismic fire barrier expansion joint system, Wabo®FireFlex is a fire resistive blanket for repair, retrofit, and new installation in wide structural expansion joints and construction joints in horizontal and vertical plane applications.

FireFlex is a 2-hour UL-certified expansion joint fire barrier. (For 3-4-hour fire rating, consult Sika Emseal)

FireFlex is comprised of high temperature fire resistive blankets, stainless steel foil, cycling shields, and galvanized edge retainers.

Cycle tested to exceed ASTM E-1399, FireFlex is listed with Underwriters Laboratories for Class II and III movement classifications.

FireFlex is tested and certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), to the rigors of UL 2079 for deck/floor and wall expansion joints.

Specify coverplate solutions for pedestrian and vehicular trafficable applications.

Composition

FireFlex incorporates high temperature fire resistive blankets, stainless steel foil, cycling shields, and galvanized edge retainers.

Testing

FireFlex has been tested and certified under UL 2079 and meet the requirements of ASTM E1966, ASTM E119 and ASTM E1399.  UL 2079, like ASTM E1966, was developed to encompass the fire testing of ASTM E119 and the movement cycling regime of ASTM E1399.
