EMSEAL Joint Systems, the leading manufacturer of premium sealants and expansion joint systems for the commercial construction industry and the innovation leader for the highway market seeks an Inside Technical Sales Specialist for our corporate office in Westborough, Massachusetts.
The Inside Technical Sales Specialist is charged with inside sales and technical support, quoting, making product recommendations, vetting orders, quoting shipments, tracking shipments, consulting with engineers, running online meetings, auditing stock levels, managing bridge and highway logistics, writing letters, responding to emails, tracking project progress in SalesForce—all in the same day.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and possess high-energy enthusiasm for providing customer-service-oriented technical and product support. Projects range from working with private, federal, state, county, and municipal agencies on bridge and highway projects.
The Inside Technical Sales Specialist will also be charged with supporting the Bridge and Highway Division with logistical support, managing the movement and tracking of trade show booth supplies, training materials, and overseeing thousands of feet of Bridge Expansion Joint System (BEJS) stocked in Westborough, MA and other regional locations. An ability to multitask coupled with a creative and driven mind will prove invaluable in this position.
DUTIES:
- Provide customers with technical and product support for the Bridge & Highway division including:
- application analysis and product recommendation to departments of transportation, engineers, and contractors;
- quote generation to single or multiple bidders;
- preparation of letters of submittal or justification of product applications;
- negotiation of prices, discounts and commissions;
- negotiation with affected parties the successful resolution of complaints;
- track state DOT bid cycles to optimize timing and maximize sales;
- tracking sales and communication with customers from order entry through delivery;
- restocking and shipping of conference and exposition booth materials;
- track and maintain stocking levels of product on hand;
- assist in the scheduling and support of traveling team members.
- Interpret construction field conditions communicated through CAD and sketched drawings. Communicate to CAD engineers conditions depicting product application solutions for preparation of submittal and manufacturing shop drawings.
- Provide over-the-phone, via online chat, and webinar based product installation guidance and training.
- Compare product capabilities with expected application requirements such as: simple and compound movement, vehicular loading, chemical sensitivity, hydrostatic and air pressures, back-pressures of products on substrates.
- Interpret blueprints and details.
- Persuade potential users to the benefits of selecting EMSEAL joint systems.
- Recommend solutions to address field problems.
- Develop and share ideas for possible new products and technologies and new market applications.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum Associate’s degree required. Bachelor of Science preferred, with an additional preference in Engineering, or demonstrated technical inclination combined with alternate Bachelor’s degree.
