We deliver ready-to-go as well as custom solutions to structural expansion joint and other sealing applications worldwide, and we are looking for a CAD specialist at our corporate office in Westborough, Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and possess high-energy enthusiasm for providing our customers and manufacturing with the best CAD documents and illustrations. We’ve worked on structures throughout the world including the Empire State Building, Guggenheim Museum, over 250 major, minor, college and Olympic stadiums, as well as schools, hospitals, and corporate campuses throughout the world.

An ability to multitask coupled with a creative and driven mind will prove invaluable in this position. The ideal candidate will be able to understand the big picture and be comfortable making real time decisions in a highly supported team environment.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

JOB FUNCTION:
This position involves the interpretation of project details explained, sketched or inferred from design documents, photographs or other sources. Candidate will use AutoCAD to produce isometric, 2-D and/or 3-D drawings utilized in manufacturing as well as for the purpose of communicating joint layouts to contractors, architects and engineers. Drawings will be used to develop bills of materials and item parts for entry of orders into ERP system.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce project models and drawings using AutoCAD and INVENTOR.
  • Create project specific product layouts for customer review
  • Convert project specific layouts into manufacturing details as required
  • Enter engineered products orders into ERP system
  • Make corrections to drawings and models from mark-ups
  • Be able to assist with some aspects of design process
  • Assist in field work and/or site visits as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to accomplish various tasks
  • Convert 3D drawings to REVIT ready documents
  • Interpret blueprints and details

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, INVENTOR, REVIT, Adobe Reader (PDF), Word, Excel
  • AA Degree required,  BS Degree preferred
  • Must be US Citizen with a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation
