AST Hi-Acrylic tapes from EMSEAL are the ideal solution for many sealing needs.
Engineered for the harsh open farm environment, they seal, separate, dampen vibration, insulate and isolate a wide range of joints, seams, pads, flanges and other conditions found in farm structures and machinery.
AST is a self-adhering tape seal made from resilient, open-cell foam impregnated with a water-based acrylic-modified asphalt emulsion. It replaces and outperforms liquid and butyl tape sealant and closed-cell closures.

Material is supplied with self-adhesive on one side. After removal of packaging, material begins gradual expansion – more slowly in cold weather than in hot.

How it Works – The EMSEAL Advantage
The open-cell foam is impregnated, compressed to the size of the opening to be sealed, and shipped in reels. The stored strain-energy of compression in the foam means continuous back-pressure is exerted against surfaces to be sealed.
This pressure, combined with the adhesive nature of the impregnation, assures reliable adhesion to both upper and lower surfaces. As the sealed components and expand with seasonal temperature changes, long-term sealing contact with the contact surfaces is maintained.
