How Does the Sika Acquisition of EMSEAL Affect Me? FAQ’s

With the recent announcement of the acquisition of EMSEAL by Sika, we’re sure our customers are asking two questions: 1) how does this affect me? and 2) how does this affect me?
In short, it doesn’t.
Our business and our brand will stand alone. It is absolutely business as usual from EMSEAL’s perspective and with Sika’s support. Here are some Frequently Asked Questions and answers:

Q:         Are EMSEAL products still available?
A:         Yes, there are no changes in the product offering.

Q:         What products does Sika offer?
A:         Sika’s product lines include concrete admixtures, specialty mortars, epoxies, structural strengthening systems, industrial flooring, traffic systems, roofing, sealants, waterproofing, adhesives, specialty acoustic and reinforcing materials.

Q:         Can I expect an interruption in service, hours of operation, or support terms?
A:         No.  EMSEAL will continue to act as it has in the past, with all the current support services in place.

Q:         How do I place an order?
A:         Place orders as you do today. The process does not change.

Q:         From where should I expect my product to ship?
A:         There are no changes in where the EMSEAL products will ship from.

Q:         Do I call EMSEAL or Sika for product support?
A:         Support for EMSEAL customers will continue to be provided by EMSEAL through existing channels.

Q:         Can I still go to the EMSEAL website for information?
A:         Yes, the EMSEAL website remains fully functional.

Q:         Will there be any changes in distribution?
A:         Sika and EMSEAL have established strong networks of distribution with some of the best distributors in the North American construction industry.  There are no policy changes planned regarding the status of these networks.

Q:         Can we (EMSEAL distributors) sell Sika products?
A:         All sales of Sika products will continue to be sold and serviced through Sika’s existing sales and distribution channels.  However, the company fully expects that the strong Sika and EMSEAL brands will lend themselves to mutually beneficial opportunities and that the synergy between EMSEAL and the various Sika Target Markets will also provide excellent opportunities.  We are open to exploring these opportunities with distributors.
